INTERVIEW: Erin Hunter
By Kathleen Bolton | April 21, 2006 |
Watch out, Harry Potter! The hottest fantasy series for school-age children features not the young wizard with a scar, but a pack of feral cats struggling to survive in the wild.
Note: STARLIGHT, the New Prophecy, is #2 on the New York Time’s children’s bestseller list as of 4/13/06.
The series, WARRIORS, is the work of author Erin Hunter, who is actually the nom-de-plume of two writers, Cherith Baldry and Kate Cary, and the brainchild of Victoria Holmes, editor for Working Partners LTD. With 10 books in the series and more titles on the way, the cat-clan craze is sweeping the ’tween set.
Kathleen and Therese chatted with Cherith, Kate, and Vicky about writing for children and why this series has resonated so deeply with their readers.
This post has recently been updated so that parts 1 and 2 can be read together here.
Q: Our school-age daughters are crazy about your WARRIORS series, and they were both surprised that Erin Hunter is actually two people! How did you both come together as writing partners? Can you talk a little bit about how your process works and how you work to make two voices into one?
CHERITH: Kate and I aren’t writing partners in the sense that we collaborate. We each write individual books within the same series. We were both brought into Warriors by our UK editor, Vicky, who had the original idea. Now we discuss the storylines with Vicky and she makes sure that what we write is consistent.
KATE: It is Vicky, our editor, who brought us to the project – she is the “hub” of Warriors. Cherith and I have never met! I suspect we were chosen for the project because we both instinctively had the right voice, so it comes to us both quite naturally. We take it in turns with the writing – for the first series, I wrote Into the Wild and Fire and Ice, then Cherith took over for the third book, I did the fourth, and Cherith did books 5 and 6. Vicky works hard to keep continuity – there’s a big cast list and it changes and grows all the time! Cherith probably has her favourite characters, just as I do. Sometimes it’s hard to put a character into someone else’s hands; but I trust Cherith to retain the essence of characters I’ve created (like Yellowfang and Graystripe) and I hope I nurture the cats Cherith has created (such as Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw). Fortunately we have Vicky at the centre of it all to keep an eye all the cats and make sure they don’t stray from their original nature.
Q: Vicky, did you think it was risky, bringing two authors together to work under one name?
VICKY: No, because I work with more than one writer on several very successful series. I am very used to working in this way, and think it’s way more fun than the standard sort of editing where you work with one person alone!
Q: What did you do to ensure it worked
VICKY: I decide in advance where each series of Warriors stories is going to head, and which cats should feature as protagonists. Then I discuss each individual story with Kate and Cherith to check that my ideas make sense with them, and to incorporate their ideas about what should happen. I keep very detailed lists of character names and descriptions, the rituals used by the Clan, and what happened in previous stories so that everything (hopefully!) stays consistent from book to book. Once Kate or Cherith have written the manuscript, I go through it carefully to make sure it matches with the storyline we agreed previously, and that all the details fit with what has gone on before. I also make sure that it “sounds” like Erin, because she has a very distinctive voice. In reality, this is a combination of three different writing styles: mine, Kate’s and Cherith’s. I think of it as being able to “speak Erin Hunter”, like speaking a different language, and after working on more than twelve scripts, I know pretty much at once if a line or phrase doesn’t sound right.
Q: Cherith and Kate, what are the literary influences that inspire you both? What made you want to write stories for children?
CHERITH:My grandfather made up wonderful stories, so as a child it seemed to me that making up stories was something that people naturally did. It’s only quite recently that I’ve realised not everyone goes around with their head full of imaginary characters! I’ve always read a lot, and it was my ambition to write a book from being very young.
The writers who have influenced me most are J R R Tolkien, C S Lewis and Ursula Le Guin. I love Arthurian legend and I’ve read a lot of different versions, both the original medieval stories and modern novels. I wrote an Arthurian novel of my own (for adults) called Exiled from Camelot, and for children a series of medieval mysteries, The Abbey Mysteries, with Arthurian fantasy elements.
KATE: Books provided a rich and comforting world for me as a child. I can still remember the excitement of waking up on a weekend, a book waiting on my nightstand, and realising that I could lie in bed and read. The thought that I can now create the sort of worlds I used to escape into is unbelievably exciting.
When I was younger, I enjoyed fantastical stories – I always preferred Enid Blyton’s fairyland stories with their pixies and elves over her Famous Five or Secret Seven stories. But as I grew toward my teens I began to prefer stories where I could identify with the characters – I remembered adoring Emily of New Moon – indeed all of L. M. Montgomery’s heroines. I went through a splendidly intense Nancy Drew phase and I thought anything by K. M. Peyton was fabulous- particularly her Pennigton books.
The great thing about the Warriors series is that I get the best of both worlds – I can create a fantastical environment, yet fill it full of very realistic characters which I (and hopefully) our readers can identify with.
Q: Why do you think fantasy literature for children is so prominent these days? Is it the Harry Potter effect, or something deeper?
CHERITH (at left): I think the Harry Potter books have created a greater interest in fantasy literature in the present day, but I think the need for fantasy is something very deeply rooted in the human mind, not just for children. Fantasy can deal with fundamental human emotions like love, grief and fear, and so it helps us deal with those emotions in the real world. And it helps to stretch our imaginations, which I think is vital for everyone.
KATE: I think Harry Potter is a sign of a deepening need for fantasy to brighten our lives. It seems to me that children’s lives are more restrictive and more pressurised than ever before. I remember as a child roaming my neighbourhood with a big group of friends. We all knew that when the streetlights started to go on it was time to get home, but apart from that we were free to have as many adventures as we liked. Now children are only let out of the house for organised and structured activities, and meanwhile school is becoming more and more loaded with tests and goals. I’d hate to be a child nowadays and I’m not surprised that kids need more than ever to escape into the world of the imagination, because it’s the only place they can be really free and un-judged.
Q: Can you tell us where you came up with the concept of feral cats as protagonists? What drew you to this world?
CHERITH: As I said above, the idea was originally Vicky’s, but I jumped at the chance to work on Warriors because I love cats so much. They are mysterious, subtle animals with great depth of personality, so it’s easy to develop them as characters and set them to interacting with each other.
KATE (at right): Goodness knows where Vicky came up with such a great idea! I’m just glad she gave me the chance to make it into a reality. It certainly wasn’t hard to build a world “peopled” by cats. I’ve always had cats around and anyone who has a cat will know that they are animals with such well-defined personalities that it’s easy to imagine they have a life beyond the human realm.
VICKY: Believe it or not, I don’t like cats! Luckily Kate and Cherith are big feline fans, so they stop me from being too cruel in our storylines. But I’ve grown up with cats and have always been fascinated by how thoughtful they are, and how reserved, as if they have amazing private lives that Twolegs could hardly guess at. Feral cats seemed like an excellent compromise between regular domestic pussycats and a truly wild animal: they have all the freedom and independence of living in the wild, but they would be instantly recognizable to readers as the pet lying on their lap.
Q: We swear we’re never going to look at our cats the same way again. How does the study of cat behavior inform the storytelling? Was it difficult to imagine the world from a cat’s eye view?
CHERITH: No, I didn’t find it difficult at all. And my two cats – Brambleclaw and Sorreltail – make sure that I have all the research material I need!
KATE: Not at all. Cats have such a knowing look in their eyes that it’s always been easy for me to imagine that they are thinking and guess what those thoughts might be. Actually expanding those thoughts into the whole world of Warriors has been great fun and really just a natural progression in my love of cats! All the cats I’ve lived with have had their own distinct personality just as human beings do – so while the physical movements of the cats in Warriors – the way they narrow their eyes or flick their ears or brush past each other – are informed by direct observation, the characterisation I give them is informed as much by my experience of human beings as of felines!
Get up, stretch, then come on back to read Part Two of Erin Hunter’s interview below!
Recently, Kathleen and Therese had the opportunity to chat with British writers Cherith Baldry and Kate Cary, who write as children’s author Erin Hunter, and their editor Victoria Holmes, who is the brainchild behind this popular series for school-age children. Below is Part Two of their interview.
Q: The plots in WARRIORS are very Shakespearian: a mad leader, intra-clan betrayal, war, star-crossed lovers, death. Did you worry about making the stories too intense for young readers?
CHERITH: We all – Kate, Vicky and I – are aware that we have a responsibility to young readers. We’re always sensitive to the age group we are writing for. But in my view, exercising that responsibility doesn’t always mean protecting children from the painful things that happen in real life. That would make their fiction bland and boring. But we try to make sure that these elements are presented in a way that young readers can understand and that won’t be too disturbing. And when we address difficult subjects, we always try to include a reason to hope, or some positive element. For example, the death at the end of Moonrise is devastating for the characters involved – and it was very hard to write – but that character chose the sacrifice to save many other cats.
KATE: You’re right – danger, grief and loss are all contained within Warriors, but I never worry about the stories being too intense. It is inevitable that even the toughest child is going to feel the world very intensely because the world is still quite new to them. Books provide a safe way to ‘practise’ intense emotion. I care about my readers as I would any child and part of my job is to steer them through the Warriors world, cushioning the blows whenever possible with encouragement and hope but never trying to lie to them by pretending that the world is an easy place to live in.
Q: Our daughters wait with bated breath for the next in the series. What do you think makes these books so addictive?
CHERITH: They have strong storylines and characters it’s easy to relate to. They’re also set in a detailed world, so readers can imagine what it would be like to live in a Clan.
KATE: I really don’t know! I only know that every child I have met who has read the Warriors book has the same thought – that maybe the Warriors’ world could exist just beyond their garden fence. Perhaps it’s this possibility that awakens such a strong response in our readers.
Q: Vicky, you are also an author of stories for children. How do you balance your editing duties with writing fiction?
VICKY: I don’t have a social life! Well, that’s not strictly true, but I rarely take more than one day off at the weekend. I work as an editor during the week, which means being part of the creative team at Working Partners, coming up with new series and storylines and then steering writers through each stage of the manuscript. I am attached to nine projects altogether, covering all age ranges and genres. Warriors is my favourite, even though I’m more of a dog person than a cat person. I think this is actually an advantage because it allows me to be ruthlessly unsentimental and have nasty things happen to the nicest cats. But I do get sad at death scenes! The death of Feathertail in Moonrise (The New Prophecy Book Two) is particularly heart-rending, I think. My favourite death scene is Tigerstar’s: just when you think his longtime enemy Firestar will get to deal the fatal blow, a complete outsider (Scourge of BloodClan) comes into the forest to rip all nine lives from his body in one go. In the end, Firestar feels horrified and saddened by Tigerstar’s death in spite of all their bitter history.Writing my own books gets squeezed into weekends and vacation time. HarperCollins Inc. have been terrific to work with because they give me long lead-times with each script, so I have a chance to do all the historical research necessary for each new story. I’ve always been fascinated by history, especially when it is rooted in a dramatic location like Western Ireland, so doing the research is half the fun. It’s like being at high school all over again!Writing my own books gets squeezed into weekends and vacation time. When I’m walking my dog or traveling to work, there are always adventures unfolding behind my eyes. I’ve missed my train stop more than once because I’ve been pelting through the forest beside Firestar! When things are going well, I can hardly type fast enough to keep up with the movie in my imagination; other times, I can’t think what might happen next, which is usually when I give up and take my dog for a walk or bake some cookies instead.
Q: Tell us about some of your titles.
VICKY: Books under my own name so far are: RIDER IN THE DARK and THE HORSE FROM THE SEA.
HEART OF FIRE will be out in September 2006 and the fourth, as yet unnamed, will be out a year later. All are published by HarperCollins Inc. Each story is set in a different British historical period and features a girl and a horse having adventures.
Q: What draws you to the world of horses and girls?
VICKY: I’m very lucky in that I grew up on a farm and was able to have horses from the year dot. I was never a particularly competitive rider, and mostly enjoyed hacking around the countryside on my ponies. I was a fairly solitary child, mainly because we lived on a farm outside the town so we didn’t have lots of friends on our doorstep, so I spent a lot of time with my four-legged friends instead. After I left college, I worked as a groom on a show-jumping yard and learned a completely different side to horsemanship. Even though I worked with some truly gorgeous and talented horses, I think I temporarily lost sight of the sheer joy a horse can bring to your life. By the end of the year, I knew I didn’t want to make horses my professional life, so I trained as an English teacher and after a few years of that, switched to children’s publishing. Riding has gone back to being a very precious hobby, which seems to leave a lot more room to appreciate my relationship with an individual horse. : I’m very lucky in that I grew up on a farm and was able to have horses from the year dot. Q: What advice would you give to authors who wish to write fiction for kids?
CHERITH: Get to know children and what kinds of thing they like. Read a wide range of current children’s literature. Many adults write the kind of books that they enjoyed as children, and while these are wonderful books, the world has moved on. Don’t ‘talk down’ to children. Don’t think that writing for children is the easy option. It’s just as hard to write well for children as to write well for adults – if not harder. A good children’s writer will respect their audience and give them the very best books they can.

A good children’s writer will respect their audience and give them the very best books they can.
KATE: Don’t give up! Be very certain that you know whom you are writing for and what your audience want to read about. Either use trial and error or simply research. See what other writers are producing, what children are buying and find out what you are good at. It’s a waste of your time and skills writing epic fantasy if you have a really good and sharp grip on reality. Or trying to be serious if you’re actually very witty. And try to persuade an agent or editor to believe in you, because their experience will be invaluable.
VICKY: Read everything in the children’s section of your local library, especially popular contemporary titles. That’s by far the best way to get a feel for what the marketplace wants today. Too often, aspiring authors write in the style of books they loved as children, and that’s just not commercially viable now. Publishers look for modern, lively voices that can speak the language of twenty-first century children, even in genres like fantasy and historical novels.
Think about the perspective of your story: nearly all children’s books are written from a limited third person perspective, which means we can see into the thoughts of the central character but no one else’s, and we only see things when he or she is around to witness them. This is a big difference from adult fiction, which often splits the narrative between several different third person viewpoints.
Make sure that the story is as much character-driven as plot-driven so your protagonist is always in the thick of the action, making things happen around them. Children tend to identify with characters before plot or historical setting, so the individuals in your story need to leap off the page as rounded, sympathetic and adventurous characters whom readers can easily imagine as their friends.
Check that the length and structure of your story match successful examples in the marketplace. It’s very common to receive a generally well-written manuscript that is much, much too long for the intended readership. Publishers have fairly hard and fast rules about how long a book can be for each particular age range, so there’s no point sending them a script that’s way off target. For example, Warriors books are 70-80,000 words long, which is as long as most scripts would ever be for the children’s market. First chapter books, for new readers aged 4-6, tend to be nearer the 3,000 word mark.
Finally, remember that if you read your script to a child that knows you, you will invariably get a rave review. Children love being read to, and respond enthusiastically to the idea of hearing a brand new story from The Person Who Wrote It! This is not a reliable critique, unfortunately, so be prepared for some much sterner responses from Commissioning Editors. And now we’re going to open the floor up to two fans who love everything Warriors. Questions from Sophie, age 9:My favorite cat-warrior is Graystripe. Why did you have him captured by Twolegs? Will we ever see him again?CHERITH: Well, it keeps readers anxious as they wonder what has happened to Greystripe! As for whether you’ll see him again – you really don’t expect me to tell you that, do you? ; )
CHERITH: Well, it keeps readers anxious as they wonder what has happened to Greystripe! As for whether you’ll see him again – you really don’t expect me to tell you that, do you? ; )
KATE: I loved Graystripe and it was awful to write the scene where his little gray face stared terrified from the back window of a monster as the Twolegs carried him off. I still haven’t quite recovered and the Clan doesn’t seem the same without him. At the same time though, it’s deliciously exciting wondering what’s happened to him and whether he’ll ever be back, which is of course why we did it. And I would hate to spoil the suspense by telling you anything now!
Q: How did you come up with the Clans?
CHERITH: This was part of Vicky’s original concept.
KATE: Vicky, our splendid editor, will have to answer that one!
VICKY: We wanted to have a complex and well-structured society for our cats so they could have political disagreements as well as personal conflict. “Clan” seemed like a wild-sounding word for a group of feral cats.
Q: In the New Prophecy series, how come Specklefur and Frostfur stayed behind in the forest when the other Clans left?
CHERITH: They felt they were too old to make the journey and to adapt to a new place. There was plenty of room for them in the old forest that they knew and loved, even though it wouldn’t support all four Clans any more.
KATE: They felt they were too old to make the journey and to adapt to a new place. There was plenty of room for them in the old forest that they knew and loved, even though it wouldn’t support all four Clans any more. They were being noble. But they were also frightened. They simply couldn’t face dying in an unfamiliar place. They wanted to be sure that when they did die they would be in a place where StarClan could see them and be there to welcome them into their ranks.
Q: What should I do now if I want to write books when I grow up?
CHERITH: Read, read, read, read, and then read some more.
Take advantage of your English language classes so that you learn how to write a clear sentence, spell and punctuate properly. Our language is a beautifully tuned instrument and it takes skill to use it well, just as it does to play, say, a violin. Publishers don’t have staff whose job it is to fix bad grammar. It has to be right. Get out there and enjoy life. If all you ever do is write, you’ll have nothing to write about.
KATE: Practise! Writing is no different from any other skill – you wouldn’t think of appearing in a piano concert without practising first! Read and write whenever you can. Try different styles and subjects until you find which one you enjoy. Experiment! And don’t be put off by criticism. Learn from it where you can, but ignore anything that you find too crushing. After all, critics are only human – you’ll know instinctively when a critic is right. Use criticism as a way of growing stronger – don’t collapse under its weight!
Questions from Riley, age 10: Do you have disagreements as writers, and if so how do you solve them?
CHERITH: Kate and I don’t disagree, because we don’t collaborate on the same book. Sometimes I disagree with Vicky, but they’re always friendly disagreements (so far!) We resolve them by discussing them, and because we’re both committed to Warriors it’s usually quite easy to work them out.
KATE: Cherith and I don’t disagree because we don’t share the writing – each book is our own pet project – but we do each have to share with Vicky. I disagree with Vicky sometimes, but I trust her judgment and she is happy to take on board my ideas so we usually come to a speedy agreement.
VICKY: As Kate and Cherith have already mentioned, we sometimes have different ideas about what should happen or how a character should react. We never disagree for more than a minute or two because one person always manages to persuade the other with a stronger argument! Kate and Cherith often have a better idea about where the story should go once they’re in the middle of writing a manuscript.
Q: Why is the New Prophecy series about Brambleclaw instead of Firestar?
CHERITH: I feel that we’ve told Firestar’s story now that he has defeated Tigerstar and made the forest safe from Scourge and BloodClan. (Though there is to be a one-off novel, set between the end of Series 1 and the beginning of New Prophecy, which will use Firestar as a central character.) I think that for Warriors to stay fresh and interesting we need to focus on one or more new characters. Brambleclaw has problems, but they’re not the same as Firestar’s.
KATE: It was simply time to move on. I was certainly growing a little tired of Firestar second-guessing himself and worrying about his kittypet roots. Having new lead characters is exciting and gives us a chance to explore new personalities with different obstacles to overcome. I do love the fact that Tigerstar has always remained in the background, through Clan memory and through his offspring, as a shadow that overcasts all the Clans. And I guess Firestar is doing the same (though, thankfully, not from the grave!) – he is a constant light, which burns steadily in the background.
Q: I like Feathertail and Frostfur. Where did you come up with all the names for the cats?
CHERITH: Vicky, Kate and I all think up names. They have to be made up of elements that would be familiar to the cats, such as the parts of a cat’s body, or the colour of their fur, or things they would see around them in the forest.
KATE: It can be tough coming up with all the names – (although our fans seem to find it easy enough!) We all chip in, inventing new names when they are needed. I used to find it limiting, having to take inspiration only from the sight, sounds and scents the cats would experience, but the more I live in the world of Warriors, the richer and more diverse it becomes and I find now that I have a wealth of choice.
Q: Why did Cinderpelt have to be injured? She changed a lot.
CHERITH: Cinderpelt’s injury was part of the damage that Tigerstar did to his Clan in his obsession with power. He wouldn’t be an effective villain if no cat was ever hurt because of him. Yes, she did change a lot, but I like to think that her injury brought out aspects of her character that were there all along, but hadn’t had the chance to develop up to then. (BIG HINT: we still have a long way to go with Cinderpelt’s character!)
KATE: I’m afraid Cinderpelt’s accident was necessary for Firestar’s developing character – he had to learn how to deal with tragedy and guilt, how to take responsibility – and Cinderpelt had to suffer so that we could see the lengths Tigerclaw was willing to go to to win power. Poor Cinderpelt! I only hope that we made up for her suffering by giving her a far more complex and important role in the Clan’s adventures than she ever would have had if she’d completed her warrior training. The path she took meant that a different side of her personality developed, and it’s one that I have grown to love as much as the cheerful young apprentice she started off as.
Q: Will you write more books in the original Warriors series (as well as the New Prophecy series)?
CHERITH: No, Series 1 will stay at six books, though as I said above there will be a one-off novel set between the two series. The title we’re working with at present is FIRESTAR’S QUEST, and I’ll be writing it. I promise, it’s an awesome story!
KATE: Firestar is about to have his own adventure in a one-off book, but there will be no more books in the original Warriors series. I’d like to think that the original series and the new series will become seen as one long, unfolding saga which builds on itself, book upon book, rather than separate adventures. I’m in the middle of writing the first book in a third series. Again with new protagonists, but I promise that it will still be deeply rooted in the original Warriors series.
VICKY: We’re very excited about FIRESTAR’S QUEST (a Special Edition book coming out next year), in which we find out what happened after the battle with BloodClan, and before StarClan sent the prophecy about the destruction of the forest. With the death ofTigerstar and Scourge, peace seems to have returned, and Firestar can get on with being a good leader to his Clan. But he is troubled by visits from a warrior ancestor he has never seen before. Who is this cat? What does he want with Firestar? And if what he says is true, then StarClan have lied to Firestar, and the warrior code is worth nothing…The kittypet turned leader, the fire who saved his Clan, must leave the forest and go on a long, dangerous journey to find out the truth – and restore his faith in StarClan.
You might be interested to know that we’ve just started work on the third series. It’s going to be called POWER OF THREE, and will skip ahead one generation to some kits who will have a major impact on ThunderClan’s destiny. Since you’re clearly some of our most dedicated fans, we thought you’d like a sneak preview of the prophecy that sparks off this gripping series. Firestar receives it in a shadowy cave, far from home, from an ancient cat that is not from any Clan that we know…
Three will come, kin of your kin, with more power for good or evil than any cat that has walked the forest before. Hmmmm, who could these cats be? And will they be a force for good – or will they destroy ThunderClan forever? You’ll have to read the books to find out!
THANK YOU, Cherith, Kate and Vicky, for a fantastic interview. Warriors, the New Prophecy #4, STARLIGHT is available at booksellers and online retailers such as Amazon.com.

Lemonstripe :D
o yea and cherith the author chat from prior to this year was great too
Hey, I’d just like to tell you guys that I am a major fan of the entire series. Your way of describing cats in the feline world brightens my eyes and makes me squeal in joy for such good books! I send my thanks a million times to Vicky for bringing you guys together to write these amazing books.
In addition, whenever I found out you guys were going to be interviewed here I squealed for joy once again, extremely excited after reading about what was said from W&W back in December-ish.
Each day after school about I kept checking the New York Bestseller list and whenever we beat out Harry Potter I screamed with joy and told everybody that I know!
Finally, I know this is a very long comment but you deserve it! :D, I’d just like to say that I can’t wait for the second part coming soon. I currently run a warriors fansite and have been running it since August 2005. Check it out if you’d like or if not then that’s alright. https://imagine-reality.net/warriors
That is the current URL if you’d ever like to stop by! I can’t wait for Twilight and for the extra book that you guys are planning (In addition to ‘The Power of Three’ if that is the actual releasing title that has been gossiped about and reached me.) If you ever have time I think a book talking about the full warrior code, the family trees, and the medicine cat herb lore (as a small appendix type reference book to the series) would be greatly appreciated. You three are all truly inspirational to me with your writing skills and such and I am awaiting the release of Twilight and trying to be as patient as possible.
Your Fan,
Minty.
PS; I love Ravenpaw. I hope that he might make an appearance back into the main story. If not then that’s alright. I have created a fanlisting for him, actually, you can visit it by clicking here and it will take you to it. Now that I am finally done pouring out my fandom for you guys, I shall go back to re-reading the books again for fun! :D
Hi, this is Blizzardclaw from Warriors Wish. Great interview, I love hearing about the ideas and inspiration for the Warriors series.
It’s cool to have Vicky’s input too; it took me forever to find information on her! Thanks for linking Warrior’s Wish from your site Kate!
I can’t wait for part 2 of the interview, looking forward to next week!
P.S. Hi Minty, Lemonstripe! *Waves*

Hiya! *Waves to Minty and Blizz*
I just wanted to say that Warriors is awesome!
Everytime a new Warriors book comes out, I drive my mom crazy by asking her to take me to the bookstore.
I now own each book in hardcover. =P
I also run a fansite, https://freewebs.com/starclangraphics/.
I love The New Prophecy and can’t wait for Twilight to come out.
Ps. My fav. characters are Brambleclaw and Crowfeather! (And Spiderleg…lol)
i love Graystripe!!!! He was my fav. character. Twilight seems like a great book. starlight is a really good book too!
hey lemonstripe where did u see that starlight cd??????????? i want one!!!
I got it at Barnes and Noble, but It’s now available on http://www.amazon.com
Dear Erin Hunter,
I can’t even begin to describe how much I love your series!! When I had first seen this series at my library, I had never heard of them. So when I finished it, I couldn’t help but tell like, everyone I knew about them. I still tell people about this amazing series. Now like, almost 3/4 of the people I’ve suggested read them, have, and have gone crazy about the books as well. :D
I to, have made a forum based on your series. This is the link in case you’re wondering. https://warriorsot.proboards42.com I’m also hoping to get my actual fan-site up soon. :)
I’d also like to say that this was a very interesting article and it answered a lot of the questions I’ve been pondering for a long time. This article was done very well, and I compliment the authors of the Warriors series, (along with Vicky,) and the author/s of this article. ;)
I find it really wired that you two have never met, and can still manage to make the stories seem the same and still be amazingly good! I personally would find that really hard, so I send you compliments for that as well.
Erin Hunter, (Cherith and Kate,) I absloutly love your writing style. I’ve always had the passion for writing books, but I could never seem to find the right…inspiration to get me interested in finishing a book. Now that I ‘ve read your books, I can’t seem to stop myself from writing my books I’ve started! :D I have read every book that has come out am now waiting for the next. I can’t wait to find out what you two, (well, actually three,) come up with next!
Sincerely Your Major Fan,
SpringStar
Hello Kate, Cherith, and Vicky. I’m Larkie, or Wildstar (my Warriors name.). I’d just love to say I adore your series more than ever nowadays, that everyone’s starting to pick them up and get their nose in it.
Ah yes, I remember the times my little Warriors series was just my little secret. Then, a new girl at my school was reading them and we became friends. The more people all around the world I’ve met on-line share my love for Warriors. As you can see, reading is a way to bring people together. I enjoy the way you write, and am looking forward to more books that have your spark of popularity.
Best Wishes,
~Wildstar*
Dear Cherith and Kate and Vicky,
I am a huge fan of your books! I absolutely love the fact that your theme is different than any other series in the world. I talked to my friend about the books since we both are crazy over cats. She’s just starting the first book, and she’s already in love with it.
Maybe you could add a character in your book named Chocolatepaws! I would really like that. My friend would go crazy if she realized that I suggested it to you! :D
Thank you for writing such great books. Thank you for reading my message. You are spectacular!
Signed,
Chocolatepaws
Thank you SO much for coming up with this idea Vicky!! And thanks for writing the Warriors series Cherith, Kate, and Vicky!! I would faint if one of you decided this wasnt your calling, or one of you quit, then I would wake up like an hour later, then faint again when I heard the news once more… (this would happen about 17 times…) Well anyways I just want you to know, your series is the ONLY series I read so far. Kate, I ordered Bloodline from Borders, I hope it arrives soon!!!
, Deathpelt of ShadowClan AKA- Your BIGGEST fan!!
I found a warriors book the first time it was ever available in mid-january 2003, even since I was nvr into anything as much again! As a fan of warriors it’s often frustrating because there are SO few times when we get any scoop on inside news, there needs to be more stuff like that, maybe a monthly online newsletter? thanks soooooooooo much Kat and Cherith, I’ve been with these books as long as i can remember, I’m sooo thrilled you are acctually probably reading my statements!
*cheers for days*
oooo look, part two of that interview is up since that week of cheering! :P
could you maybe just take a 1 minute look at my site https://lemonstripe.proboards52.com ? even if you left no comment it’d be neat to think you visited it
Hi there Kate, Cherith, and Vicky (again.) I love Lemonstripe’s idea of an Online News Letter! You shoul really do that. It would bring joy to all your millions of fans. I would worship you all even more! Even if you couldn’t update it weekly, I’d kill to see you make one.
Best Wishes,
~Wildstar*
PS: Your book, The Darkest Hour was brilliant. My friends and I are all Scourge’s biggest fans. We’d love something about him in The New Prophecy! I’ve begun writing a fan-fic about his son… Who wants to be a “good-guy.” Anyway, keep up the good work!
yes yes yes newsletter!!!!!! Even if it was only every other month, it would b a fantastik way to connect the fans on a regular basis to warriors, SO do one!
~Lemon Le Bigg Warriors Fan~

o kathleen bolton? is there any way at all to get Erin Hunter’s Autograph?
I would just like to tack on my addition of fan mail to your ever-growing collection.
Your books portray a mystery and deepness within cats that is magical, and even makes you take a little double take at your own cats. What are they thinking? How do they feel? Many cat lovers out there already know that cats have a personality all their own, a uniqueness, and a depth within their eyes which all too well portrays their intelligence. However, some out there think that intelligence in cats and other animals are faulty, and that cats don’t truly think about things. I’d think these books change their minds, and really makes them look closer at the every day cat. So in a way, not only having written this series gives people a good story to read, but inspires people to look deeper into felines. I know that reading this series has truly developed my love for writing, and I hope that some day I will write something as inspirational as this.
I am now working on a story called, “A Cat Called Kitty”, based on my own cat trying to leave the world of strays and hunger for a life with the humans (much like, only the opposite, of Rusty’s destination), and is only to be shunned by household purebreds within her new home, and must prove her courage to them with the help of a stray kitten and the former cat who had lived in her new home.
Many thanks to you for reading this, and for writing the Warriors series, of which has inspired more than just me, I am sure. Please, keep writing and keep influencing the way we look at our cats.
P.S. Just as a suggestion, I have a character name idea. Sadly, my three Ocicats are very inbred (a fact we had not known we when had bought them), and so they have all developed cancer in one place or another, as well as suffer from serious asthma. The sickest of my cats’ is Sage, a silver tom Ocicat with black spots, striped tail, legs, and forehead, and has the most gorgeous emerald green eyes you’d ever see on any cat. I think a kit named Sagekit with the colorations of an herb himself is a nifty Warrior’s character idea, but that’s just me. ;) Thank you! (And I apologize that this message has been so long.)
I absolutely LOVE the Warriors books!! I’m a huge cat lover and I got my best friend into reading them about a year ago. I have about 2 or 3 websites dedicated to Warriors:
http://www.freewebs.com/islandclans_graphics
(My Warriors graphics site)
http://www.islandclans.com
(Me and my best friend created our own version of Warriors, our Clans live on islands)
https://islandstar.proboards80.com/index.cgi
(My message board where people come and roleplay and talk about Warriors)
I am obsessed with these books. Is there any way that there could be a Warriors movie? That would be so cool!! -As long as Hollywood doesn’t ruin it- And maybe even more merchandise. (trading cards, games, t-shirts, etc.)
Thanks for everything!!
-Islandstar
Hi there,
Thanks for all your comments. I am so happy that our books have such a devoted and enthusiastic following. I’ve loved reading your posts and hope you come back next week to read the rest of the interview…
Best wishes
Kate Cary
PS Willow, Flower and Miu-miu send purrs to you all :)
oh its no prob. i love your books too much to stop so…
lemonstripe i know u wont believe me but kathleen bolton is my mom and she said (*sniff sniif*) that no there is no way she can get a autograph :”(
I’ve been a fan of the Warriors series since I picked up Into The Wild by accident two years ago, and still love the series. After I finished The Darkest Hour, I started writing stories I created for the first time. Just a few short months later, I took my stories to http://www.fanfiction.net where they received many positive reviews by Warriors fans. Now Lemonstripe made a fansite for my stories and on many sites I visit it seems fanfic readers everywhere know my name and have read my stories.
I’m going to be pursuing a career in writing of my own non-Warriors stories in a few years, but I will continue to read and enjoy the next series. I look forward to reading the rest of the interview!
And also, if Ravenpaw does come back, I have the perfect warrior name for him. Hint: look at my name.
Hi everyone, glad to see you!
Can’t wait until Twilight comes out! Yay!
May StarClan Guide Your Path,
~Wildstar*
PS: Kate, say “hi” to Willow, Flower and Miu-miu for my my cats Peachie, Milky, Paula, and Scourge!
Wow, what can I say? Warriors is my life. It whole new view of my surroundings. I practice ‘cat language’ on my cat, Diamond (by the way, she says hi to Bramble and Sorrel). Thank you so much for working together to create this wonderful series!
May StarClan be with you,
Leopardstar of LightningClan
Hi guys, You rock!!! I LOVE Warriors sooo much I started up a site in January 2006. It’s not really done yet but keep checking it for updates cause it’ll be done by the end of May (if I’m not too busy). It’s located at,
http://www.freewebs.com/warriorshadows
Thank you for writing my fave book series ever.
Your fan, Firestorm
P.S. Because of Warriors I found a love for reading.
Hello everyone.
Thank you all for your comments. It’s great to read them and know that so many people love Warriors.
Brambleclaw and Sorreltail wave a paw!
Best wishes,
Cherith
Dear Erin Hunetr,
I fell in love with your books immediately when I first set eyes on them in the library. Both of you picture the kittypets perfectly, you see I have one myself and is as plump as dear old Smudge.
I’ve been trying to get hold of a copy of Dawn and Starlight but I can’t. The country which I am in receives it late. :(
I hope that the Warriors series won’t end fast. It’s aboslutely magnificent and it cannot end. The Warriors books are steadily getting popular in Singapore, South-East Asia. It’s where I live, see. The way the two of you, Cherith and Kate, write the way this cats venture the forest is so descriptive that I can imagine it vividly!
I look up to the two of you, seriously. The way you ‘communicate’ with the characters is perfect. And it’s amazing the two of you never met. It just shows that you can work together really well without knowing each other. I dream to be an author one day and I’m very sure the two of you will be the first in my mind to look up to. :D
Love,
Your fan, Silverbreeze.
OH MY GOSH, i love your warriors series!!! i cant WAIT for twilight to come out! im a HUGE fan! i think the way you came up with the whole complex sytem of warriors, names, ranks, ceremonies, the warrior code, and all that is really amazing!
love,
your dedicated fan,
thornfoot of stormclan
oh, and, um, well, im in this guild clan on neopets.com (find the guild by clicking on the link at rainstar89’s lookup) and thats where i earned my warrior name, and i know your really busy, and probably dont have any time for this, but if you did, my clan would be honoured if you could join neo and the guild. even if you only posted on the board once a month, you have no idea how much it would mean to us. please, we would absolutly love to have you!!!!!!
I’ve loved the books since before I’d even seen one up close! My sister told me about them, but I had to wait about three months to even touch one. During that time, Warriors entered some weird game my friends and I play, a sort of…imaginary frendish roleplayish type thing, though most of the people are from anime/manga series we watch. And then I was completely knocked flat when I read the first book!
Sadly, most of my friends don’t understand it, and though I’ve honestly tried to get them to read, they haven’t, as of yet. Well…okay two have.
I’d like to thank all three of you for giving me something to occupy my mind with, and for coming up with such an AWESOME book series! I’d give you the URL’s to my RPG’s based off of the books, but it seems most people have done this already, and if you wanted to really look at all of them, you would have an incredibly long list >_
i love your books they are the compleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet best i love love love love them and im only on book #7 well its really 1 of the new prophecy but i just keep going on i have been reading them 4 like 1 month and a half (im not the best reeder) If i was in the warrior books my name would be RippedNose not my choice. i have a blog and it is Warrior-cats.blogspot.com or you can just click on my name!
i saw a picture of twilight its not the best i love the cover of starlight!!!!! its butiful! i have every single one of the warriors books i have not read them all but i read 7 so thats a step up!!
Erin Hunter i think you two are the bestest authors in the whole world!!! i wright my own verson of the books an someday i hope to show them to you. Up untell now i hatted cats because a cat atacked my dog and gave it a good gash in the ear but your books have tought me that cats are just trying to survive so i love cats and dogs!!
May StarClan be with you, RippedNose hoping to be RippedStar! human name is Melody. bi bi 4 now
Hey! I loved reading these books! I’m “blizzardstar”, Just the RP name so I go by it here o.o
Anyway, I am a HARDECORE warriors fan, and I have al the books, hard cover for keeping nice, and paperback (the ones that come in it) for trips and stuff. My favorit ecats are GreyStripe,Squirrelflight and…
STORMFUR. Oh meh god, why did GreyStripe and Stormfur leave .^.
I miss them *sob* lol.
well, I’m practically on my hands and knees for TWILIGHT!!!!! Please let it come out as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!!
Erin Hunter you are the best as you made the most Awesomest book series Warriors! I’ve read all the books up till the 3rd Prophecy. I’m trying to get Starlight because my mom won’t buy it yet. I own Into the Wild,Rising Storm,Forests of Secrets, and Midnight Prophecy number 1. I’m SO glad my friends introduced me to Warriors. Warriors are the best books ever. I can believe that Graystripe is gone. But I know hopefully he’ll come back. I’ve saw the cover for Twilight. It’s okay but I like the rest of the book covers a little better. Please bring Twilight out soon!
Wow! Wow, wow, WOW!
I absolutely LOVE the Warriors series. Forest of Secrets is definitely my favorite. ~.^
Oh…. I hope you both let Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw have something a bit more…. ^^
I agree with Minty. If you wouldn’t mind, it would be AWESOME if you could have a little dictionary-like thing of the herbs, a little bit of the ‘family trees’ (it does get a bit confusing!), and an at least medium-length version of the warrior code. I am a Fanfic writer, I have a Warriors guild on Neopets (WoodClan; I’m therealemshady, should anyone want to know), and I am on three Warriors Proboards sites, one of which I own. ^^
PLEASE consider the thing about the book of herbs! I’ve made my own (which is hard, since I have to re-read most all of the books), but it’s not completely accurate or full…. It would be really nice if you two decided to do so! ^^
Also…. Do you think a video game or movie would be possible in any way? Either or both would be excellent in most all readers’ eyes. ^^
Anyway…hope you two saw this and will consider the guide. Thank you very much! ^^
By the way, will you PLEASE look into Stormfur’s life a bit more…? I absolutely adore him, and I know a lot of other people that do, too. ^^
And I’m on the edge waiting to see what happened to Graystripe! T.T I loved him, too….
Anyway…looking forward to Twilight! ^^
i LOVE the warrior books!!! there the best books ever! i never read until i read Into The Wild then i got to reading alot. i run a role playing site http://www.freewebs.com/new-beginning82 so me and other people can make our own adventures. :] i cant wait for the next book to come out!
Hello! I love your books. I read them ALL the time–I know the main sequence in each book by heart :)
I’ll admit to you that I’ve been writing up some stories on my computer about cats from Clans–but making up the Clans, making up the characters. Of course I’d never try to get it published, but you’ve inspired me.
I’ve always wanted to be a great writer, one like you are.
One of the main things I like, and quite an awkward thing, is how you rarely use the word “said” to express a cat speaking. There are plenty of books I’ve read, and all I see is said, said, said. But the words you use express it more to me, like how each cat feels when it speaks.
My favorite warrior was Whitestorm. I cried when he died, but I knew at least it was a noble, loyal death.
I loved it, in Starlight, when Onewhisker became leader, and when Crowfeather and Leafpool fell in love..
I don’t know what else to say… I love reading your books too much. :)
Bye!
~Spottedfur
Dear Erin Hunter (Kate & Cherith),
I love your series! I first heard about it from my friend, who’s mom told her, who’s patient’s mom told mer! XD
I’ve been interested in writing for a while, but I could never finish a book, because I had no inspiration. I’ve written several books with your help! ^^ I have absolutely no idea how you people write like that, I could not entrust anyone with my fave characters. ;)
The interview answered many questions that I had, and also some stuff that I had never even thought of!
I’m so obbsessed with the series, that I made a site based on it at http://www.xxxwarriorsxxx.proboards67.com. It’s a fairly new site, but it has many active members. Come to think of it, I haven’t checked on the site in a couple days… >.) I’m part of several other Warriors sites, as well.
I can’t wait to start Twilight and see the rest of the books after that! ^^ Thanks to you, my passion for reading and writing has grown!
Your Fan,
Emberheart
Thank you for these alwesome books! I know that you arnt really thinking about making a movie, and its prolly best that you dont. I say that because the United States, Russia & th U.K. all kinda have different views on how the cats look. So if you were to make them look like, say, the U.S. version ide be like “YAY!” (cause im there), but people in Russia would be like ” thats not what they look like!”. So, the movie idea i think wouldnt be that great, but ide still love it.
I think havnt a game say for ps2, Xbox, and stuff would be great! Man ide love that! And i know a lot of other people would as well. I also think that making stuffed animals out of them would be awesome. Im sure that would make as much or more money then the books would. but thats up to you.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
-Silentheart aka The Cheese
I just LOVE the series! I’m on book3, forest of secrets. It would make a GREAT movie!

Me and my friends absolutely adore you. Warriors has become my inspiration, my love, and my home. I got at least 10 friends to read before it became popular… and altogether, we got at least 20 people to read, who knows, maybe they are still passing it on!? Now every time I see someone reading it, or praising it, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It brings tears to my eyes, it’s as if I somehow helped to get them read it, although you wrote it (:P)
I LOVE you so much, and you don’t know how much it means to me. Me and my friend made a site, we are on for hours sharing comments and building a warriors community based on you. You DON’T KNOW how Warriors has changed my life, and moved millions of hearts around the world. I know that everyone’s leaving their site for you to see, but everyone needs to, you don’t know how 30 seconds of your time can change our life forever.
Sometimes I think of what the world would be like without Warriors, if that little thought just eluded Vicky, then the world would be dull, my life would be normal.
I could never live without warriors, I read every single little thing on this interview, and it knocks the breath out of me to know that there are millions of people around the globe sharing the same obsession, please, please, please don’t stop. We’d all die!!! Me and my friends just come over and act like cats with our own names and Clans in the park in front of my friend Shadowstar and Moondust’s house. I began reading when I got it in first grade without really looking at it (luck!) and maybe it had just found it’s way into my hands. It sat on my bookshelf for a few years when in fifth grade, I picked it up, and read it all night, and at school, I told everyone I knew. The greatest regret of my life was that every day the Warrior world was calling out to me from my bookshelf, but I never even glanced at it. When I picked up Starlight from Barnes and Noble the day it came out, I saw the cashier say, “A lot of people are reading these books these days.” Yesterday I was walking to school, a person was reading the third book, preaching out to his friends to read. This morning a girl was too caught up in Midnight she bumped into a tree. I was reading a Warriors book in class in the corner of the room, when I looked up, I was sooo late, class had ended about 20 minutes ago, I was alone in the classroom. But then I knew that it was worth it, no matter what consequences I had to pay, because I love you with all my heart.
~Duskwind/Sparklewind/Scarletrose
I goe by Dusky :P
PS) My cats Cinders (Cinderpelt in me and my friends eyes) and Tippie (Tallstar – he completely fits description!) and my runaway hero Kayla (Cloudstripe [in your case, Cloudtail] who might be in StarClan right now.
I Adore the series! I’m just on book3 where fireheart figured out how oakheart, and redtail had died. Poor redtail. But still, the series would make a GREAT movie. Those books that you guys write give me somthing to do when i’m bored. Keep writing them!!!!!!!!
on neopets I have seen many guilds that are copying off of the saga!!I even copied!! I have only gotten to the 4th book in the first seires, and it already rox out loud!!
Hi! I have a question: Why don’t you mention Sootfur much? I would have liked either him or Ashfur to fall in love with Squirrelflight. I run a fansite too!
oh and please don’t kill Sandstorm!
i have every book from series one to starlight and awaiting twilight
squirrelflight is my main girl cause she totally rocks
p.s a cool and hopefully future name for thunderclan…
stormkit-stormpaw-stormpelt
it would be totally awesome if that apeared as a name in a book
OMG*gasps* 1st time blogger and loving it!!! I’m behind in the cat world, have only read to Moonrise. For some reason, my local bookstore dos’nt have the next one *sobs* P.S. have you read Eragon by Christopher Paolini and Eldest? it’s probably not related, but it’s great!!
Whoops i meant eldest is the next book, not one of the authors!!!
I just want to say THANKS for making the Warriors series! In school me and 3 friends made our own camp and temed up with a lot of kids to make it satronger! We even had our own bloodclan! I’m working on a variation of the warriors series as we speak! Its Called Lost in the mOuntioans! Keep up the good work Erin!!!
When were you born?
Dear Kate and Cherith
i’m from New Zealand, and I LOVE your books. Unfortunately, this country is deprived of warriors, and the only book they’ve realeased out here have been midnight, and that was only recently. Luckily, I have a good library, so i had read the first series already before I stumbled across it. I read my first warriors book when I was staying at a friends house, she was still asleep and I was bored. I picked up a book, (Into the wild) And read it before she woke up. She never managed to finish reading it, and sent it back to the library before she did. (Gasp!)
Ever since I read the first book, I have been searching for Erin Hunter everywhere. The library, bookstores, Trade me, It became my favourite book series very quickly. So um yeah. I really like your books. I’m obsessed now, and I have to go on a Role Playing webiste (Warriors, of course) to keep me sane. Thankyou for shining the light on the feline world! my cats are very pleased. So send me all the books so I become sane again. Not that I was sane in the first place, but lets not go there….
well, You have Kiwi fans, coz I got all my friends to read it. they weren’t very impressed, but a couple got blown away so YAY. you should make sure all the books get published here, so I can get the whole series, hunt you both down then get you to sign them all. If I didn’t have my trusty and faithful library, I would’ve already hunted you down. Keep writing!
your Number One Kiwi Fan, (not the plastic cooler either)
Sarah. (because my names hard to get a nickname out of.)
PS. I love your books!
PPS: it must be so cool having millions of people nuts over you. congrats! :D
Dear Erin Hunter(kate, vicky and cherith) I am your #1 FAN! ive got all of your books, and ive hooked up ALL of my friends to them! Ever since ive read your books, i look at cats a different way. like at every full moon, im always looking for cats along the streets, ive even spotted some! i just wish that it wouldnt take like 5 months for all of your books to be published! im SO psyched about Sunset, I CANT WAIT! *squeels* ive just finished Twilight, i hate it how it left me hanging! Im so obsessed! i wish you could make warriors merchandise like bookmarks, or uhh i dunno! ive even got my mom to read all of your books, and she liked them! please dont kill Leafpool! SHE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVE! anyways, i thnk that warriors would make aGREAT movie! I love your series and please dont stop writing them any time soon, or i would be stuck with NOTHING to read! I love reading because of you, keep up the great work!
ur #1 fan, Daisytail/Juliana!
ps: im waiting for a cat, i would so totally name it after Graystripe, its awfull he got taken away!!!
I love the warriors series I used never read but when I found them I started to read again.Yah! I cant wait for the tseries to come out and all the others to.Im a huge fan!!!!Sometimes I dream of what it would be like to be a warrior.Im working on getting all your books I still have to get book 4 and up in the NP series.I hope the warriors never go away. You so awsome Cherith,Kate, and
Vicky!
OMG! I’m your #1 fan!!1! Sorry, got hyper because I can finally talk to u! So many things:
1. Owlfeather(WindClan) is an unfair name because Crowfeather chose the name after Feathertail died.
2. Can you think of a name for my cat–he is a gray striped Maine Coon with BIG hind feet–and don’t name him Rabbitfoot!
3. Can you tell me more about Sunset or The Sight???
PLZ?
4. OK, I’m done. My name is Amy Singer, email- terra782@cocmast.net and I’m ur #1 fan!!!
Dreamfrost is my character! She is sparkly white with a black crescent moon over each eye, black right ear, black tail tip, black stripes on each paw except left, on which (on her thigh) she has a crescent moon, black at one tip, and fades down to white on the other tip. Inside the crescent is a black star. Complicated, I know, but I can draw cats REALLY good, I mean, well!!!
whoops im not Blackheart! Heehee
OMG!! I love the warriors series. I can’t wait for it to get in stores so i order it off of amazon.com you should too! :) And Once i get it i CANNOT put it down! I always try to limit the pages i read, but sometimes im just too eager, so i read it in 2 days.
Anyway, in the new Prophecy, Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw have a HUGE fight. PLEASE GET THEM BACK TOGETHER SO THEY CAN BE MATES!!!!!!!
I have a question but I would like to say I love the Warriors series. When does Firestar’s quest come out?
I LOVE Warriors!!!!!!!!! They are definantly my favorite books! The Warrior books inspired me to start drawing again (I never had been in to art). Now when you look into my sketchbook you see Cloudtail, Mothwing, Feathertail, Whitestorm, and soooooo many more! I can’t wait for Sunset! Twilight left me hanging. I think Warrior cat games and toys (i.e. stuffed animals, board games) would be OUTSTANDING!!!!!!
I have two cats. One is black and mischevious and the other is black and white and fat. We call them Ravenpaw and Barley since they look like them.
Please make Graystripe come back!!!!! He is my favorite character.
Is Hawkfrost good of bad? I can’t tell. I can’t tell if Brambleclaw is going to turn bad either. I hope Mothwing begins to believe in Starclan.
I had an idea. What if you wrote a series of books about Bluestar, Tigerclaw, Oakheart, Redtail, Whitestorm, and their companions when they were apprentices and young warriors. That’d be AWESOME!!!! I can’t picture Bluestar as a young cat. I can only picture her as an old leader. But I would absolutely LOVE to see her as an apprentice and warrior! I would also like to know where Tigerclaw got his ambition.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey there!!! I love the warriors series, and I too wondered when Firestar’s Quest is coming out! SFBookcase.com is great place to leave comments about books and there are tons of kewl people there! Its kewl! Happy Holidays! And happy posting!
I AM YOUR No. 1 FAN!!!!!
Do you think you could use this charrie in one of your books? You`ll have too think of a first name!
She is a light brown tabby with a white chest and paws, and a streak of tortoiseshell fur across her eye.
Last Name: Streak
Dear Erin Hunter,
When I first saw the first book Into The Wild.At a libary program in my area. It changed my life forever. At first I thought it was kinda boring really. But when I read the first sentence. I was hooked. It was fantastic. I have never seen two authors whith such great talent in my life.Sometimes I dreamed of meeting Erin Hunter in person someday.{nervous now.}Erin Hunter seems like a hero to me. I would be very please if Erin Hunter herself {for once.}would write to me.
Thank-you Erin Hunter. With your books for keeping me company I’m never alone.
Sincerly,
Esther.
and what is the date all the new books are coming out
I love your. books I can’t belive that I am talk with the Erin hunter!
I love your books! Why can’t they just all come out at once?! I finished Sunset in two days….now i’ve got nothing else to read! Well, I’m re-reading the series. I drew this really neat picture…it had three cats (Ravenpaw, Firestar, and Graystripe[duh] ) and a bunch of trees, and about 10 billion stars. My friend came over and looked at it, and the only thing he said was “wow. you’re hand must hurt.” I looked at him and said “why the heck wouldn’t it?!” lol…me and another friend of mine have wrote (but not quite completed) countless fan-fics…*sigh* probabally close to about 10 (maybe even 15) each…*sigh [again]* I’m never going to get all of them done! I heard that they were going to make a Warriors movie, are they really going to? That would be so cool….I’d more than likely go see it about 12 million times…lol…I really want to be a writer when I grow up….and I guess it’s because you guys (girls/women, whatever) inspired me to become a writer…whenever someone laughs at me for reading one of your books I either A: ignore them, or B: tell them to shut-up and that they couldn’t laugh at me for reading something that they’ve never even tried to read. I love the covers…Sunset was really neat! (and, of course, so were the rest of them)
Bye!
dear erin hunter, are u guys gana make a movie
Hi me again. I was just wondering if you could answer a few guestions.
Q.Will Graystripe show up during the next six moons?

Q.Will Cinderkit be Leafpool’s apprentice?
Q.Who will be the traitor?
Please email my answers at dlsm@frontiernet.net
TO Erin Hunter ONLY.
OK, one q.
Q. What will Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw`s personalitys be like?
E-mail me at nicholsonmarina@hotmail.com
Here’s another few questions.
Q.Was it hard writing Feathertail’s death?{she was one of my favorite charachters.}
Q.Was it hard writing Graystripe’s captured secene?

I LOVE THE WARRIOR, NEW PROPHECY AND I KNOW THAT I WILL LOVE THE POWER OF THREE!
I am sorry my other question was all jumbled I was in a hurry and messed everything up.I would really like to know a site where I can find out where and when new books are coming out.I still can’t find out when Firestars Quest and The Power of Three The Site are coming out nor do I know when series of three books about when Graystripe is taken away from the forest in Dawn is coming out. I have been looking for a site that will let me know about things like this but every time I get close I find out that I have to regester. I am very sorry this not is so long but i really love the books and always want to be informed. Thank you.
OMG!OMG! I LOVE your books! I think that I could HONESTLY say that me (Fireleaf) and my 2 best friends, Falconclaw and Riverstream, are your biggest fans! I mean I don’t have a website of my own but thats only becaues my parents won’t let me… but I understand why, It’s for my safety… And me, Falconclaw and Riverstream are such big fans of ya’lls that we even wrote stories based and your series!
Falconclaw is on page 40, Riverstream is on paragraph 1 (She a big reader and not much of a writer) and I’m done with mine! it’s 248 pages long!!!, I put it on a memory stick and took in to my english teacher and she printed it out 4 me and i put it in a binder!!! and i hav a few questions four you if you would please answer them..i men it’s not like i can force you to answer them or anything but i would really appreciate it!!
1.Will there be movies?! i mean, the WORLD’S best series NEED’S movies to follow it up!!!
2.Will there be merchandise?! I would kill to get one of every warriors product!!!
3.When is the next book signing?! i swear i would be the first in line for a book signing in my town!!!
Hi again how come the clans haven’t come across any alligators in the lake. after all it says that the lake is freshwater. I just wish i new.
Erin Hunter,
I am so excited that I am talking to you! I can very well say that I am one of many of your #1 fans!!! I love your books so much and you inspire me to be creative and write books of my own, since I absolutely love to write. I love the warrior characters you have made up. Squirrelflight, Sorreltail, Leafpool and Whitepaw are my favorites. Squirrelflight and Sorreltail remind me a bit of myself. I can’t wait till ‘The Sight’ comes out!!! I do hope that Brambleclaw wont be angry when Graystripe returns, (If he does) Can you use these names in the Warrior books as important ThunderClan characters if you can? That would mean so much to me…
Amberkit, Amberpaw, Amberwings or Amberheart: beautiful golden ginger tabby she-cat with white underbelly and paws, peircing blue eyes
Eaglekit, Eaglepaw, Eagleflight or Eagleclaw: handsome light brown tabby tom with white paws and bright amber eyes
Lake-kit, Lakepaw, Lakefeather: light silver gray tabby she-cat with dark blue eyes, white paws
Maplekit, Maplepaw, Mapleleaf: pale brown she-cat with green eyes
Aspenkit, Aspenpaw, Aspenfoot or Aspenstorm: dark brown tabby tom with white paws and green eyes
Pondkit, Pondpaw, Pondwhisker: gray and black tabby she-cat, yellow eyes and a white tail tip
I hope these names interest you, Erin Hunter! You are my idol and I hope one day that I can be a great author like you!
-Amberwings
I am probably the most obsessed fan Warriors out there. My friends think I am nuts, but they haven’t read the series…YET. I named my dog (Feather) partly after Feathertail and if I got another cat I would not hesitate to name it Firestar. I literally can not wait for The Sight and Secrets of the Clans, and I personally am excited to carry them with me at school to show how much I love the series (I told you I was crazy). I want Leafpool to be the main character in The Power of Three but I guess that Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw (the three most common names to pop into my head) should have the spotlight now!
– Splashpaw (soon to be Splashheart)
I Named my 2 cats after warriors, we have Fernheart: A small black and white sh-cat witrh green eyes. and then we have Birchpaw, soon 2 be Birchclaw (If that’s not his name in the sight, i’ll change it.) He is, i swear a calico MALE with green eyes. he is mostly white with brown tabby patches on him and orange on his face!
I just wanted to suggest using the ‘Birdge to Terabithia’ graphics for the warirors movie. i looks real and you don’t have to hurt any cats!
I love your books. Me and my friend Fireleaf are such huge fans. I have all of the books, with the entire first series in paperback and the second series in hardcover. just about everyday I read part of the books for some odd reason, whether it’s to look up ideas for warrior names or to remember what one of the cats looks like. I even have a computer game called Catz 5 where you pick a breed of cat from an adoption center and name it, and all of the cats that i have, have warriors names. I can’t wait for the next book or hopefully movies.
I like those names amberwings! i made lots of my own too, here are a few! i’d love it soooooooooooooooo much if kate and cherith used a name made by me in a warriors book, even if it is just a small background part of the book!!!
driftingsoul- a gray she cat with green eyes
watervine- sleek brown tom
deermoss- a sweet light brown she-cat
snowlily-gentle white she-cat with pale blue eyes
falconfire-a fiesty reddish orange large tabby
prariewing-a small dusty yellow she-cat
ivyspirit- a mellow brown/black she-cat
moonbeam-pale gray she-cat with light brown eyes
cooaleyes- a black tom
pantherheart- a black tom
elmpelt- a brown spotted cat
ripplereeze- a silver she-cat
it would be soo cool to have a name in the books that you made up!! they could be in any clan! i love the new territory. i love cinderpelt and now cinderkit!!! i am a huge warriors fan!! thank you soo much for writing the series! i especially like rising storm, dawn, and sunset!!!
Will you write any books about the Great Clan Cats?
Erin Hunter you rock! Warriors are my all time most favorite serie in the world! I have a lot of questions.
Why did you name Squirrelflight, Squirrelflight?
Is Hollypaw going to be the main charater point of view or is it going to be like The New Prophecy?
Why did you decided to use the names Hollypaw and Lionpaw again?
What kinds of powers will they have?
I think it’s so cool that ThunderClan has three reincarnated cats! Hollypaw, Lionpaw and
Cinder(Kit/Paw) i like the name Hollypaw the best but i don’t know why… it sounds fimanane i gess.
Me and my friends made ^ a bunch of cool warrior names and cats PLEASE at least try 2 use at least 1 in the warriors books (But u don’t have 2):

Hey, it’s me again!
Thank you so much ‘Warriors Fan’ I love your names as well. You too are very creative. I have a feeling that I will love Hollypaw’s character. I adore her name so much! It’s superb…anyways, In just feel that she’ll be like Squirrelflight at that means she might be like me! :) My friends aren’t into Warriors much, and they think I am nuts and too obsessed with Warriors, but they just don’t understand. Hopefully, Graystripe will return, well, I know he will…I just hope he becomes deputy again. In Twilight, I HATED Brambleclaw, but in Sunset, I grew to like him again…though I think Brackenfur deserved to be made deputy instead of Brambleclaw, though, but that’s alright.
A good name for Hollypaw, Lionpaw, and Jaypaw would be:
Hollyspirit, Hollybush, Hollythorn, Hollypool, Hollyleaf, Hollyfoot, Hollyclaw
Lionspirit, Lionclaw, Lionheart, Lionfoot, Lionstep
Jayfeather, Jayheart, Jaytalon, Jayspirit, Jaystep, Jaypelt
I also love the names:

Pease, Erin Hunter! If any names interest you, especially Amberwings or Amberheart, I would love it if you could give a main character of ThunderClan that name!
I love your books Erin Hunter! You rock…
Q…When and what will Whitepaw’s warrior name be?
Q…Will Graystripe be deputy when he returns?
Q…Will Brambleclaw be angry if Graystripe takes back his place as deputy?
Q…Can you use Amberwings or heart for the name of a main character of ThunderClan that name, please…?
Q…Do you think Brackenfur could be a deputy in the furture?
Q…Can you make a site where fans can talk to you?
Q…Can you hint ANY POSSIBLE spoilers! Please…?
Hey, when and if you ever make a warrior’s movie, i would like to suggest “The Bridge To Terabithia.” graphics or “The Cronicals Of Narnia”. it looks just like cats but you wouln’t have to hurt any cats. and i’ve herd rumors about a warriors movie coming out this year, i would love to see it and i hav a FRONT ROW VIEW!!!! So if you think it’s 2 early to ‘spill the beans’, please tell us anyways!!! and i think you shouls go to http://www.youtube.com and check out the tribbutes to warriors! i’m in the procces of making 1 myself but it’ll more than likley take me a wile.
hey amberwings. thanks! those are all great names that you made up. i try to make up ones that have never been used. my favorite ones of yours are: streamfoot, whisperwind, springflower, winterclaw, and cottonflower! I’m trying to make up some more of my own! ERIN- it would be sooo cool if you used one of my names as a cat with a part in thunderclan, even if it just a medium part that occasionally talks or goes on a patrol or fights in a battle. it would mean sooo much to me to be a part in one of your awesome books! this is my favorite series ever!! i love the new territory. amberwings- i didn’t like brambleclaw in twilight either. he was trying too hard and was constantly insulting other cats. but now in sunset, i thought he would turn evil becuase of the dreams with tigerstar and hawkfrost. but then he proved himself by killing hos own brother. it must have been hard to do that but we all know he is very loyal to his clan the most. only one of my friends is into warriors as much as i am, my othr friends think it is a little weird. o well, i just love them all! i cant wait for april 24!!! hollypaw, jaypaw and lionpaw sound soo cool. i wonder what their powers will be!!! please write more erin!!!! the books are so addicting!! thank you soo much!
Mrs.Baldry, Mrs.Cary, Mrs…Vicky, If you don’t mind me calling you that, i would luv if you would please put at least one of our charicters in the warriors books, even know i am aware that your working on the story plot of the last book in The Power Of Three and u may already be done with that, but i think that the time gap between The New Prophecy and The Power Of Three would be a perfect time 2 add in some on the wonderful names made up by us…ur dedicated fans!! personally, i like, Sagefoot, Silverfang and of coures, Fireleaf but u really don’t have 2… but i’m sure we would all luv it! i really don’t care what rank our my chariter is ir wut Clan…i would just die if i opened up 1 of the warriors books and saw one of my warriors in there!!
oh and i hav 1 more question…even no it’s more than likely not the last 1 i’ll ask. In Twilight, There is a cat named Owlfeather and then in Sunset his name is Owlwhisker… i didn’t really get that…..
oh, and i need u 2 make a promise 2 me…Please, if u make a warriors movie, don’t make a TV show out of it. i think that the produces and stuff wood ruin warriors,
just like what happened with the emperer’s new groove and then the emperer’s new school. and in the movie, they say he’s just turning 18, wich is the age that most teenagers graduate so technaclly, he could drop out any time he wanted 2 and not loose his rank as emperer…..srry ’bout that…. just please make me that promise….wait….it’s like humanly impossible 2 ruin warriors….unless my brother starts reading them! (lol!)
i just got a great idea! if i played he CD of Sunset in my CD player and wnet 2 sleep, do u think i could dream about like being a warrior or see the story like a movie?! i’m gunna try!!…oh, wait, i just have one delay, i don’t own the Sunset CD! oh well, i’m working on it…
fireleaf- that would be soo cool to have dreams about being a warrior. i would want to be on an apprentice training session or a gathering, that would be even cooler! what is the sunset CD? it sounds awesome!
i made up some tribe names. i really want to know why stormfur and brook are being so mysterious about the tribe of rushing water.
Reed that waves in wind (Reed)
Cloud that floats through blue skys (cloud)
Rain that falls from a storm (Rain)
erin, i would be soo happy if you included one of my warriors names as a charater in one of your later books! it would be so cool and the best thing in the world. or perhaps you could use one of my tribal names! thank you so much! i am a huge fan of you and all the warriors books. my favorite ones are into the wild and forest of secrets in the original series. in the new prophecy i like dawn and sunset the best!! i can’t wait to find out about graystripe as a kittypet, lionpaw, jaypaw, and hollypaw, leafpool teaching wilowpaw about starclan, what will happen when graystripe returns to find brambleclaw deputy, and everything about cinderkit/cinderpelt!!!
not trying 2 b rude, but i’m on here 2 ask questions and not to talk. but thank u warriors fan, i really appreciate it!!! honestly, i do!!! and to everyone that made up warrior/tribe names, they were all really great!!!!
oh, and go 2 http://www.target.com 2 find the Sunset CD!!!! it’s like $15.00-20.00
at in the search box, u type in , ‘Erin hunter CD’, it’ll take u rite 2 it
i’m sorry. thanks for the information!
it’s okay, really.
haha ok thanks
Thanks again, Warriors Fan
If I were to play a cats voice if there was a Warriors movie, I would play Sandstorm, Squirrelflight, Sorreltail, Whitepaw, or Hollypaw!!!!
I hope they make a Warriors movie. I also hope they make a book with the Tribe’s point of view. Here are some names I made up:
Dawn when morning birds fly (Dawn)
Kelp in the ocean water (Kelp)
Lily behind the pebbles (Lily)
Jay in the bright sky (Jay)
Holly where the green leaves grow (Holly)
Shadow in the pines (Shadow)
Flare in the night sky (Flare)
Lichen from mossy rocks (Lichen)
Fire from the burning storm (Fire)
Cotton in the grassy fields (Cotton)
Lion in the blazing sun (Lion)
Amber of golden wings of spirit (Amber)
Blizzard where snow falls (Blizzard)
Ash from the raging fire (Ash)
Nettle from the prickly bush (Nettle)
Cricket in the silent mist (Cricket)
Stream where minnows swim (Stream)
Pebble in the icy waters (Pebble)
Minnow in the narrow river (Minnow)
I hope Brambleclaw won’t get mad when Graystripe returns. I hope Graystirpe gets his rightful place and deputy back. Also, I feel that Brackenfur would have made a better deputy than Brambleclaw. Brambleclaw just seems to forcing and demanding, plus, he kind of just…well…I don’t know. I like Brambleclaw, but he isn’t my most favorite character. Squirrelflight, Sandstorm, Whitepaw and Hollypaw are, even though I don’t even know about Hollypaw, I just feel I will like her.
Honestly, I hope Erin Hunter will read out comments. Maybe she would pick Amberwings to be a main ThunderClan character. I hope she will. I also hope she will pick your name to be a ThunderClan character too, Warriors Fan.

Hi I’m Forestpelt of Fireclan ( I like deathberries)! I LOVE WARRIORS! When I don’t want to do something because I don’t like to do it I just pretend I’m a Warrior and it’s my duty to the Clan to do it. That’s usually the only reason I do it! Without Warriors I would never feel this way! You are the best writers ever!:D Kate Cary I like it when you post things on the guttersnipe! Oh yes! I found a mistake in The Darkest Hour! Haahahahaha! It’s a funny one! It’s on page 157 and the sentence is : How different he was now from the nervous apprentice he had once been, bullied by his fierce mentor, Tigerpaw! Can you guess what is wrong with that sentence! Don’t worry that is really funny! Anyway I hope you continue to write Warriors forever!!!!!! Here are some name I like : Forestpelt, Silverfur, Lightfoot, Shadowclaw, Iceheart, Shadowfang, Thunderstorm, and Streamstorm. yay! Deathberryely, Forestpelt, medicine cat of Fireclan ( I like deathberries )
Yarrow = vomiting. The end.
Hey ‘Warriors Fan’ and welcome Forestpelt. Here’s the description for Amberwings (Just feel like typing it down)
Name: Amberwings beautiful long-limbed she-cat with a bright golden ginger pelt and has white underbelly and paws, has a piercing yellow gaze
Personality: lively young she-cat who loves to go on adventures, explore, teach and learn about herbs, help out weather a warriors or an apprentices duties, very loving, wise for a young age, skillful, had wit and is daring, fierce in battle, encouraging, stubborn, out spoken, an excelent mentor, beautiful, quick, can jump high, good swimmer, great hunter, always comes up with good new ways to launch an attack or defend, and is nobel and true to herself and others
Rank: Warrior
Clan: ThunderClan
Freinds: Ashbrook (Sister) Eagleheart, Spalshcloud, Dewflower, Marshmist, Nettlefang, Kelpfoot, Ottertail, Ivytwine, Jayfeather, Lionclaw, Hollythorn, Sootstorm, Sparrowfeather, Lakesoul
Rivals: Bonefang, Gorgefur, Dirtclaw
Family: Ravenstar (father) Larktail (mother) Ashbrook (younger sister) Dewflower (oldest sister) Nettlefang (older brother) Sootstorm (youngest brother)
U no wut i’ve noticed Erin hunter? if i may add, I luv how ALL of the warriors hav at least ONE bad charicteristic…….it makes for a great story! like how Bramblclaw is really bad with words, thats how he messes ^ with Squirrelflight all the time (lol)…. and how Yellowfang was so harsh but it pushed Cinderpaw to become the great medicine cat Cinderpelt, wich led to her death…. (Opps..Big Spoiler!) How Firestar is a little 2 brave, which almost led 2 his death many a times! How Mothwing dosn’t belive in StarClan and becuz of that, Leafpool has 2 take over her apprentices training….(Opps! Big Spoiler!!!!)……
Do i have 2 go on? there r so many bad charicteristicts in the warrios books (But n a good way) why, even Fireleaf has some bad qualities, she gets flustered and frusrated 2 easily (Like Crowpaw), she jumps 2 conclutions 2 fast, sumwut of a bad temper, gets n-2 trouble with Lionstar alot (Even as a warrior!)… but makes ^ 4 it with her many good qualities which i wood add but i really dont feel like it…..
(O yea and she haz her lazy days, but dont we all?!)
And Don’t wurry, i dont use bad grammer in my storys, i use long, smartical wurds!…
I agree, Fireleaf! Amberwings is a bit like Squirrelflight. She is very outspoken, stubborn, will stand up for herself, makes good combacks (which sometimes gets her in trouble with the leader, Ravenstar who is her father. She likes to explore and go on adventures sometimes too much and loves to mess around and annoy Eagleheart. Eagleheart always gets annoyed with with Amberwings. He is a light brown tabby tom with a white chest and paws. He also has piercing but soft icy blue eyes. Amberwings and Eagleheart are a bit like Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight, but they are friends and hang out, but often get in arguments. But all those bad tempered and disrespectful qualities make Amberwings a warrior of determination, courage, wit, fierceness, and wisdome. She loves to help out all the time and she did her apprentice duties without being told most of the times, and quickly learned her skills, but also got into trouble like Firestar when he was an apprentice. Ashbrook is Wildflower’s apprentice. Wildflower is abot ready to go to the elders den. The deputy, Brackenthorn and his son Eagleheart are much alike. I hope Erin Hunter will include Amberwings in her stories. She has such a great and fine personality and would risk her life to save her clan any day.
hey everyone! i need to decide on a name for me. i was thinking one of the ones that i made up: watervine, deermoss, prariewing, snowlily, moonbeam, sunstripe, elmpelt, coaleyes, pantherheart, ripplebreath, ripplebreeze, driftingsoul, hollowpaw, maplecloud, hazeleaf, copperose. then i’ll make up descriptions of her life and personality but i know it will be a she-cat and live in thunderclan. i really would be thrilled to have one of my characters in the warriors series!!
I adore the name Snowlily, and Watervine sounds neat too!
Thank you, i might pick one of those. i am still deciding on what her personality should be like.
These are the personalities of Amberwings and her friends in ThunderClan:
Amberwings is a beautiful young cat of spirit and nobility. Her heart lies with her clan and her friends. She puts the needs of others before herself and knows right from wrong. Most of the times, she is very stubborn, but it usually shows as determination and courage. This cat is a true warrior of ThunderClan and would give her life for her clan or friends any day and almost never backs down from and challenge in which she also takes on anything life throws at her. She is very caring for others and is wise for her young age. Amberwings carries out warriors duties all the time, but also knows all about herbs. When she is told to do an apprentice duty, she doesn’t object and when she was an apprentice, she did her camp duties, like searching for elders’ ticks, changing beddings and bringing fresh kill to others on her own. She loves to explore and go on adventures, but her curiosity usually gets her into trouble. Amberwings is somewhat like Squirrelflight and Firestar. She also enjoys annoying her clanmate Eagleheart, but as much as he gets on her nerves like she does of him, she hasn’t yet realized that she accually has a soft spot her Eagleheart. As true and determined as she is, she also has fears and hesitant moments. She is a great warrior and can do all the duties of a warrior excellently. But she also is feisty and outspoken. Often, she gets in trouble with her father, but finds ways to show him that she is exactly like him when he was her age. Can be disrespectful al littel times, but learnes to make up for them. Amberwings is a very beautiful, kind hearted, young spirited, outspoken, determined, excelling warrior. Her best qualities are: Hunting, Patroling, Healing, Battles, Swimming, and Being the best warrior she can be.
Eagleheart is a warrior of wit and determination.
Sorry! I didn’t finsih typing Eagleheart’s personality. I am sorry that they are so long…
His father is the deputy of ThunderClan and he learns a lot from him. Eagleheart dreams of one day leading his clan with his best friend, Sootstorm beside him. He doesn’t want to be like Tigerstar or Brambleclaw, but like the great Firestar. His heart is true and has the power of justice. Eagleheart easily getts annoyed with Amberwings, Ravenstar’s daughter, though he can’t help admiring her courage and beauty. He loves to help out the best he can and likes to listen to stories from the elders. This cat will put his life on the line for his clan and friends, even Amberwings, even though she bothers him. He is a fast runner and a great hunter. Loves a good mystery and will search to the end of the earth to fufill a prophecy if he had to. When an apprentice, he went exploring all the time and one day crossed the border on accident to get attacked by a ShadowClan border. Ever since then, Blackheart has been his rival. Eagleheart’s spirit is true and wise, but is about a week older than Amberwings and her siblings. His heart lies with the clan and is sometimes out of words, but is sharp tongued at times. His loyalty means a lot to his clan. He can sometimes have a lack of faith in bad times, but Amberwings cheers him up. He always does his work correctly and never argues with his leader or father, the deputy of ThunderClan. He speaks the truth and would never kill, not even to save his own life…
I wonder if we could make a site like this, but people could role play instead. That would be cool. I can’t go on freewebs…
