RWC is a very large, very moderated, free, and active on-line community for serious romance
writers--published or not. Through e-mail we share writing questions, how-to, and other romance
novel writing subjects on the main list. Then there are the sister lists to cover everything from
writing prompts, to chit chat, other types of writing, to critiques. There's even a group for romance
readers, the RRC group. You can find more info about each group below, including how to join and
links to the rules.
Other types of writers are welcome to join any RWC group, but the topics will at all times be about
romance novel writing only. Some erotic romance topics may fit into the group, but will be
limited. That means some topics, words, links, promo, and such, will not be allowed. This keeps the
group listed under romance writing and out of the adult only listings. After all, this is a group for
romance writers, not an erotic writing group. We do have a lot of erotic romance writers in RWC,
even erotic writers who find RWC helpful for the romance side of their writing, so this shouldn't be a
problem unless you have an erotic topic that you wish to post, or an erotic romance scene you wish
to post to the critique group. There is a difference between romance, erotic romance and erotic
writing. You will need to find another group to cover critiques, some erotic romance topics, promo,
ect., for you since no group can be everything for everyone and would surely fail if it tried. For the
purpose of RWC, romance is defined as the love story of one man and one woman, both adults,
who become a couple and find love and their happy ever after together.
RWC management always has final judgment on what falls

Our Moderators -- RWC started small, but over the years became such a large project
that it reached a point where I had to find people to help or close the groups down.
Thanks to some fellow RWC members who give their time freely to help moderate the
groups, RWC is still open, growing, and helping writers. If you get a reminder about a
rule, it will come from me or from one of them. Without them, there would be no RWC.
