Heather Webb is an author, freelance editor, and blogger. Her first women’s historical, BECOMING JOSEPHINE: A NOVEL, has already been featured in The Wall Street Journal and releases as a lead title from Plume/Penguin December 31, 2013. As a freelance editor, Heather spends oodles of time helping writers find their voice and hone their skills–something she adores. She may often be found twittering helpful publishing links right here at Writer Unboxed or at her own account @msheatherwebb. In addition, she is a contributor to the award-winning site RomanceUniversity.org and The Debutante Ball, a popular site following the journey to publication for debut novelists.
Heather is an active member of the Historical Novel Society, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, the Backspace community, and Romance Writers of America. Yet one of her favorite ways to meet writers is to schmooze over a cocktail at writer conferences or at a local community college where she teaches novel writing.
As a military brat, Heather naturally became obsessed with travel, culture, and languages. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French Education and a Master of Science in Cultural Geography. For nearly a decade, she taught high school French before turning to full time writing and editing.
When not locked on to her computer screen, Heather flexes her foodie skills or looks for excuses to head to the other side of the world. She loves to chitchat on Twitter and Facebook with new reader friends and writers or via her blog, Between the Sheets. Stop on by!
