One of my favorite things is the setting, a small village on the Devon coast, where the cliffs are dangerous and the sea restless, and tales of smuggling and pirates and drowned witches hang in the air. Barbara, I loved traveling to Devon with you and spending time with Zoe, Isabel, Poppy and all the others who felt so real it was as if I was in the room with them. And Gigi, she’s the best. I wish I could have a cuppa with her. Magnificent novel. Now my TBR piles is toppling over with more of your titles. And I hope you’re having a yummy time with your grand daughter this week.
Ordered and downloaded! Bought a paperback too, so that we can leave it at Avalon (a little cottage with the perfect reading spot, on a three-season porch with a view of a century-old inn and marina, often with the roar of nearby Lake Michigan as a soundtrack) for the other renters to enjoy. Seems like the perfect sort of book for Avalon’s shelves.
