Comic: Another Advantage Of Print Books
By Debbie Ohi | October 1, 2011 |
I love my iPad and I may even get a Kindle Fire, but I also love reading dog-eared favorites in the tub.
By the way, I’ve just created a Facebook Fan Page for the picture book I’m illustrating: I’M BORED, written by Michael Ian Black (Simon & Schuster, 2012). It’s my first illustrated book and I’m pretty excited about it, and would appreciate it if some of you on Facebook could Like it. Thanks kindly. :-)

I think I just snorted. Heehee. Thanks a lot!
Put it in a plastic bag!
Like you, I love my ereader, and I see no reason that print books and electronic books can’t live together in harmony. They both want to tell us good stories!
I’m contemplating buying an e-reader myself, mainly because I’m forever bouncing between countries and wishing I had brought my books with me.
Having said that, I’m completely addicted to print books and cannot imagine life without them. My dream is to one day find a place where I can turn the spare room into a library.
I’m a sick person. I know I am because I just loved this comic! Thank you.
I read the occasional e-book via my Kindle reader, but nothing is going to get me to give up print books. Not just that it’s easier on the eyes (which aren’t getting any younger) but I can curl up with one in a way I just can’t with an electronic device.
Why choosing? I can’t say goodbye to my paper books and I welcome ebooks (because I live in a small space and it helps with the storage problem..). Good luck with your great illustrating!
